Favorite Person
My favorite person is my mother. Well I'm not saying that I love my mother more than my father, of course I love them both. There are just times that your father does not understand you but your mother does. And this is why she is my favorite. Althoughni don't share everything to my mother but whenever she gives pieces of advice to me and for me I find it an advantage when it came from her because it is in the perspective of a woman She can relate to me. Another thing is that she always prioritizes our studies.it's not that my father doesn't but she always finds a way to provide me and my siblings the things that we need. My father will just give his salary to my ,other, then that's it. It's my mother who will worry about how to budget that small amount and I salute her for that. Budgeting money is really hard. In your hand lies on what will be used for all the things needed in the house.
I may not have the best mother in the world but for me she is beyond perfect. Nine months of carrying me is really a life threatening job. Nine months of having difficulties in moving, in the food to eat and for all the expenses from conception to birth a is not a joke. I may not always vocal to how important and how I love her but I always show it through my actions. I love her and if I am given a chance to choose a mother, I will always choose her with no hesitations.
My Strengths
For me I define strength as the things in which you excel or good at. The things that you can do better than the others. I am not really sure on what aspects I excel, but I can write short stories whenever required, a little bit of journalism when I was in high school, socialize with others and can speak the target language although not that fluently. I may nor excel in a certain aspect but I tried hard to have a little of everything and develop this little things into greater ones.
I believe that God gave all of us skills and talents. It is our job to cultivate and use it to improve ourselves. We have our own skills to be proud of, it is now our job to make ourselves worthy of these skills. If you have it show it, because God gave that to us,from us to use it and not to keep it.

Favorite Song
A song is a short musical composition of words and music, a poem given distinctive or characteristic series of sounds and come up with a melody. Everybody loves it. Songs can also fit to the different emotions a Hu,an being could feel. There are sad songs, love songs, inspirational songs, and many others. Name it and you can have it.
The type of songs that you would like to hear will also be in line with the emotions that you are having. That is why for me it is hard to choose and name it as my favorite song, because there are a lot of them that I like. When I find the melody, rhythm and lyrics of the song appealing, I would definitely like it in an instant. I like songs that seems like telling a story. It's like narrating the events of the song because for me a song without a story embedded in it, is pointless. I mean what is the essence of that song if it does not relay any story or message to the listener. The more story o's message of the story is being delivered, the more that I will love and understand the essence of that song.
Favorite Food
As a kid I always consider spaghetti and macaroni salad as my favorite dishes. Given the fact that I love it's tastes, makes me crave for it because I can only see it in our table during special occasions. But growing up I realized that there are no longer my favorites. Especially when I started attending college and lived in the boarding house and only spent time with my family during weekends, I realized that my Papa's prepared dish is what I always crave for. May it a ginataang mongo, pinakbet, inun-unan, tinola, or even law-your, I always consider these sets of food special. Even though they are just simple, for me they are they are the most delicious dishes I've ever tasted, specially when I'm dining with my family. Chatting and laughing with them.
To taste the most luxurious and expensive food in the orly, well somebody would want it and feel proud after experiencing it, but to taste the most special food, prepared by someone who is important to you and fine it with people that love you, that is heaven. you can enjoy good better if you are with your loved ones. Anybody could have their own favorite food but everybody would love to taste food together with people whom they love and at the same time love them also.

Favorite Bible Verse
"But I say to you, love your enemies and pay for those who prosecute you, so that you may be children of your Father in heaven; for He makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good..."
Matthew 5:44-45
The above verse is my favorite bible verse. I know it is really hard to do especially45 if that certain people really hurt you. But what can you do, you have to abide with the laws of God. It may be hard at first but later on when you get used to it and practice it often, you are a better person and a happy person. You don't have to worry and hate those people who also hate you. Let them be. It is their life that they're making miserable if you will let them affect you you will end up being like them. The more it burdens you or frustrates you the more your enemies get happy.
It is really hard to be a good person but nothing is easy in this world.if you want to be a good daughter/son of the Lord then abide with Him. Follow the path He has given upon you. Do the thing HE says because at the end of the day, it's you who will benefit from it. A better person with less worries and more blessings. Haters gonna hate you but God will always love you.
Favorite Quotation
There are a lot go quotations in th world. There is a variety of them that would really fit the different emotions you are having. It can inspire you and at the same time enlightens you to the different facts of the world. One quotation is " When life gives you a hundred rere ons to cry, show life you have a thousand reasons to smile." This quote is my favorite because it lightens my day every time life gives me struggles and pains. I'm always inspired not to give up and continue to fight in the battlefield of life with a smile. Yes, there are times that you really have to cry to release all the pains in your heart, to express your emotions and at the same time clean your eyes but we should bear in mind that regular crying could weaken you. It dehydrates you also and affects certain parts of your body. It also makes you look old, you don't want these things to happen to yourself.
Although quotations really help you to lighten up your mood, it is always you who have the greatest and important role to play in living your life. It will be always in your hands on how will you play the game of life and the adversities that would come your way.

My Body
Everyone wants to have a perfect body. A body that is healthy, with all the right curves in the right places. A body that would really make people say "wow". But these things don't matter to me. I only want to have a healthy body and for me that is perfect.
I have a chubby body, with all the right curves but not in the right places. I am not that tall but it's okay, I find myself cute. My classmates would even tease me as an elementary student who got lost in the university, but I don't find it insulting though sometimes it frustrates me. Another thing that I hate about my body is my allergy. It limits myself from eating the food that I want and it's really irritating on the skin. Sometimes when I want to eat the food that is prohibited to me, I sneak around or even eat my meal outside, but at the end of the day it's me who will suffer, it's me who will keep on scratching my skin. I really like to eat food that are not for me.
Five Years from Now
To study and have a good place in the workplace in the future is what most of the people would like to acid ve, including me. I want to be in the teaching field five years from now.I want to have my own classroom, my own students and hopefully a masters degree. I want to I,prove myself in the academic field, as want my friend say, "improve your market value." I want to be dependent enough for myself and of course my family, I want to be the daughter who could help them in all aspects of life. A daughter who could provide them with the things that are deprived from them before because of money issues. I want to give the things that they not have because they can't. I want to see their worry-free faces. Not worrying on what will be the food for today, where will they get the money for tuition fees, etc.
If I could achieve all of those things five years from now, I would be really happy. There will be a great satisfaction in my heart. But aside from those things, five years from now. I also want to experience that thING they called "love". I know that I should wait, but I think five years from now I will be ready to experience those things. I am not really in a hurry but I will be twenty-four years old five years from now. Hopefully I am in a stable relationship in that time.

Expectations
Writing is one of the important macroskills and probably the hardest if you will not put passion into it. I am not really a good writer and I expect that this subject will really help me a lot in improving my writing. I expect that there will be a lot of writing exercises to be done, not just plainly writing your thoughts and feelings but also applying creativity in it. I am hoping that we will be exposed to different sceneries and environments at low costs. We will not just be inside the four walls of the classroom, rather we should go out and explore the beauty of our environment to get possible inspiration for our writing. Lastly, I expect this subject to be fun and at the same time we will have a lot of learning.
Those are the things that I expect in this class and I believe that it will be realized. Probably at the end of the semester we can be better writers. Writers who do not stop themselves by simply working on essay questions but writers who can write good poems, songs, plays, dramas, etc. I hope we can create our own portfolio or a compilation of our works.
Promises to Keep
Being a student is not that easy. It doesn't mean that if you carry a bag and attend classes, then your role as a student is fulfilled. Because being a student is hard. Many students tend not to do their duty as a student sometimes, and unfortunately I am one of them. I tend not to do my assignment during my free time and pay attention in it on the eleventh hour. I want to change this part of me. I don't want this thing to be a habit of mine.
I promise to always do my assignments and other school stuff during my free time to avoid cramming. I promise to wake up earlier to attend my classes on time. I promise to do my best I can in class activities and practice myself to participate in class discussions. I promise to do all the necessary things appropriate to a student. I may not be in the honor list but at least I am one of the students who are really serious with their studies.

I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

Footnote to Youth
by: Jose Garcia Villa
Setting:
The sun was salmon and hazy in the west. Dodong thought to himself he would tell his father about Teang when he got home, after he had unhitched the carabao from the plow, and let it to its shed and fed it. He was hesitant about saying it, but he wanted his father to know. What he had to say was of serious import as it would mark a climacteric in his life. Dodong finally decided to tell it, at a thought came to him his father might refuse to consider it. His father was silent hard-working farmer who chewed areca nut, which he had learned to do from his mother, Dodong’s grandmother.
Characters: :
Dodong- a seventeen-year old boy who wants to get married
Dodong started homeward, thinking how he would break his news to his father. He wanted to marry, Dodong did. He was seventeen, he had pimples on his face, the down on his upper lip already was dark–these meant he was no longer a boy. He was growing into a man–he was a man. Dodong felt insolent and big at the thought of it although he was by nature low in statue. Thinking himself a man grown, Dodong felt he could do anything
Blas- Dodong's father
His father remained in the room, sucking a diseased tooth. It was paining him again, Dodong knew. Dodong had told him often and again to let the town dentist pull it out, but he was afraid, his father was. He did not tell that to Dodong, but Dodong guessed it. Afterward Dodong himself thought that if he had a decayed tooth he would be afraid to go to the dentist; he would not be any bolder than his father.
Teang- Dodong's lover and later on became his wife
Teang did not complain, but the bearing of children told on her. She was shapeless and thin now, even if she was young. There was interminable work to be done. Cooking. Laundering. The house. The children. She cried sometimes, wishing she had not married. She did not tell Dodong this, not wishing him to dislike her. Yet she wished she had not married. Not even Dodong, whom she loved. There has been another suitor, Lucio, older than Dodong by nine years, and that was why she had chosen Dodong. Young Dodong. Seventeen. Lucio had married another after her marriage to Dodong, but he was childless until now. She wondered if she had married Lucio, would she have borne him children. Maybe not, either. That was a better lot. But she loved Dodong…
Dodong's mother
Dodong’s mother removed the dishes when they were through and went out to the batalan to wash them. She walked with slow careful steps and Dodong wanted to help her carry the dishes out, but he was tired and now felt lazy. He wished as he looked at her that he had a sister who could help his mother in the housework. He pitied her, doing all the housework alone.
Plot:
Exposition

Dodong felt insolent and big at the thought of it although he was by nature low in statue. Thinking himself a man grown, Dodong felt he could do anything.
Conflict
Dodong said while his mother was out that he was going to marry Teang. There it was out, what he had to say, and over which he had done so much thinking. He had said it without any effort at all and without self-consciousness. Dodong felt relieved and looked at his father expectantly. A decrescent moon outside shed its feeble light into the window, graying the still black temples of his father. His father looked old now.

“I am
going to marry Teang,” Dodong said.
Rising action
Dodong stood in the
sweltering noon heat, sweating profusely, so that his camiseta was damp. He was
still as a tree and his thoughts were confused. His mother had told him not to
leave the house, but he had left. He had wanted to get out of it without clear
reason at all. He was afraid, he felt. Afraid of the house. It had seemed to
cage him, to compares his thoughts with severe tyranny. Afraid also of Teang.
Teang was giving birth in the house; she gave screams that chilled his blood.
He did not want her to scream like that, he seemed to be rebuking him. He began
to wonder madly if the process of childbirth was really painful. Some women,
when they gave birth, did not cry.
In a
few moments he would be a father. “Father, father,” he whispered the word with
awe, with strangeness. He was young, he realized now, contradicting himself of
nine months comfortable… “Your son,” people would soon be telling him. “Your
son, Dodong.”
Climax
When Blas was eighteen he
came home one night very flustered and happy. It was late at night and Teang
and the other children were asleep. Dodong heard Blas’s steps, for he could not
sleep well of nights. He watched Blas undress in the dark and lie down softly.
Blas was restless on his mat and could not sleep. Dodong called him name and
asked why he did not sleep. Blas said he could not sleep.
“You
better go to sleep. It is late,” Dodong said.
Blas
raised himself on his elbow and muttered something in a low fluttering voice.
Dodong
did not answer and tried to sleep.
“Itay
…,” Blas called softly.
Dodong
stirred and asked him what it was.
“I am
going to marry Tona. She accepted me tonight.”
Falling Action
Dodong rose from his mat and
told Blas to follow him. They descended to the yard, where everything was still
and quiet. The moonlight was cold and white.
“You
want to marry Tona,” Dodong said. He did not want Blas to marry yet. Blas was
very young. The life that would follow marriage would be hard…
“Yes.”
“Must
you marry?”
Blas’s
voice stilled with resentment. “I will marry Tona.”
Dodong
kept silent, hurt.
“You
have objections, Itay?” Blas asked acridly.
“Son…
n-none…” (But truly, God, I don’t want Blas to marry yet… not yet. I don’t want
Blas to marry yet….)
Denouement
But he was helpless. He could
not do anything. Youth must triumph… now. Love must triumph… now. Afterwards…
it will be life.
As
long ago Youth and Love did triumph for Dodong… and then Life.
Dodong
looked wistfully at his young son in the moonlight. He felt extremely sad and
sorry for him.

I want to travel and explore new things, places and know a lot of people. I want to know the different cultures in different places and see whether it is similar with mine. I want to know the different practice of each race and discover their common behaviors. If only I can but I will strive hard to make that dream a reality. Someday, I will be able to tour around the world.
Modern Courtship
I am not against of women courting men because nowadays women are empowered and they can't be underestimated. They can be great leaders, workers, educators and so on but one thing that I think girls should not take over is courtship. Given the fact that women can do almost everything, they still have to preserve the femininity in them in terms of romantic relationships. They should be the one being chased and not the one chasing.

Face It
You always complain on how will you solve your problem but you never try on finding a solution. You keep on running away from it where in fact; the right thing to do is face it. You keep on thinking about it before sleeping but you never have the couarage to confront it. Living a life like this will never make you happy.
